OUR KINDERGARTEN EDUCATION SYSTEM
The 0-6 age period is the period when learning is most intense, basic habits are acquired and mental abilities are rapidly developed and shaped. While planning early childhood education at Bahçeşehir College, the priority is to develop our children's sense of curiosity, to increase their motivation for learning and to instill enthusiasm for learning. Because the way to knowledge is through curiosity. Our goal is to ensure that our children grow up as students who are active while learning, ask questions, are not afraid to express their opinions, and can defend their own ideas.
OUR EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT
Our Classes
In our kindergarten, we have 5 classes: Red, Yellow, Green, Orange and Blue. Thanks to our classrooms that open to the garden, our students also use our school garden as a learning environment.
Dream Factory
It is a study method in which our students gain knowledge on a subject they are interested in and are interested in learning by using their own environment and experiences, and learn certain subjects in depth.
Kitchen Workshop
Our kindergarten students learn the culinary knowledge that individuals of all age groups and genders need and need in daily life; It is a learning environment where they develop their hand skills and creativity.
Dining hall
Our kindergarten students have their breakfast, lunch and afternoon breakfast in their own dining halls in the kindergarten.
Infirmary
We have a school nurse in our infirmary, where our students' health-related conditions are followed.
OUR APPLICATIONS
Coding and Robotics
The Hour of Code, which started to be implemented in Bahcesehir Schools for the first time in Turkey, is a training planned within the scope of the 'Computational Thinking' project developed for children to learn coding at young ages. Our main goal in the Hour of Coding, which we apply from the age of 5, is to ensure the development of our students' algorithmic thinking skills. In our ipad classroom and robotics workshop equipped with rich materials, we aim to raise our children as individuals who put forward creative ideas and can bring these ideas to life using technology.
"Half Day English" Program for 4 and 5 Years
With the 'Half Day English' program implemented on our campus, our children receive uninterrupted half-day English education. With the program we run with our experienced foreign and Turkish teachers, our students acquire the language by 'doing and living* without realizing it. Starting from pre-school, our students, who are constantly exposed to a foreign language while having fun in their natural environment, playing in the garden, when they eat and whenever possible, become ready to communicate in English in a short time.
Literacy Preparation Studies
It has been prepared gradually for our students between 36-66 months. In this process, where students recognize and write letters in accordance with the sound-based education model, derive words, and develop their skills through various art activities and games to develop their small motor muscles, our aim is to prepare them for primary education in the best way.
Mathazone Mathematics Program
We are applying the Mathazone program, which has been specially written and developed for the 3-6 year old group and has been used in kindergartens in different countries around the world for a long time, with the aim of gaining positive feelings about mathematics in the early years and using mathematics in daily life. Mathazone Orman is a fairy-tale place for our students where the concepts of Mathematics gain meaning in life.
Thanks to the adventures of the heroes living here, our students get to know the world of Mathematics with the taste of fairy tales and have the opportunity to learn basic mathematical knowledge through stories and various characters.
Scientific Activities
GEMS (Great Explorations Math and Science) activities, which were first developed at the Lawrence Science Center; this method in the form of doing first and then explaining; It enables the student to take action on their own, to acquire the necessary experience to understand the concepts and ideas at the core of the subject, and to think critically. GEMS activities allow students to invent on their own, learn to question and draw conclusions, and build higher thinking systems.
Finance Literacy
The main objective of the Finance Literacy application, which we gathered under the titles of financial literacy education, spending, saving and sharing, which should be developed at a young age, is 'What is money and how should it be used? 'What is the difference between want and need?' find answers to questions such as; It is to reinforce concepts such as 'to choose', 'to be patient'.
Scamper and Show Tell Technique
Scamper is an easy-to-apply, fun brainstorming method used to develop creative thinking. It develops children's thoughts and gives them the courage to explore, and provides the opportunity to practice to develop their creativity.
Values education
Preschool period is the first period in which the foundations of knowledge about values are laid in children. The first information about values begins to be gained in the early stages and this process continues until the last periods when the personality is formed.
Stem Junior
The changing dynamics of the 21st century necessitated the production of new knowledge together with the teacher-student, not the transfer of ready-made knowledge to the student. As Bahçeşehir College, in cooperation with Bahçeşehir University STEM Center, our pre-school 5 age group students have the chance to participate in an education program that supports their creativity, away from rote learning, as part of the STEM Junior Program.
